solo.

I’m no stranger to groups having sub-units and solo actitivites, but that doesn’t mean it’s less painful. While I wholeheartedly want them all to be successful, I’m first and foremost a fan of the group, so a unit/solo activity will still somewhat affect me. That said, I will still support their non-group stuff, as long as I feel that they have the will to come back to the group later on.

Takki will have his summer nationwide solo tour which will take out the whole of August in his schedule. Tsubasa too will be busy with his [PLAYZONE 2010] butai around the same month. I’m aware that solo fans are jumping with joy at the announcements, but we unit fans will still hang on to Tsubasa’s words. 6 more months to Countdown, I hope we’d get the unit activity promise to realize before then.

YamaPi is just recently (read: this morning) announced to have his solo single out in three versions. Two limited editions: Version A comes with a DVD of his [Short but Sweet] concert footage (the day Jin came to the concert); Version B contains an extra song, a photo-card and a 12-page booklet. The regular version would of course has the extra other songs with instrumentals. I’m not sure if it means they will not release a full concert DVD, but NEWS has had footage digest from [pacific] at Tokyo Dome concert in a single before and still have the full concert at Kyocera Dome (Osaka) released for DVD, so I guess the possibility is still there.

This solo single is probably not big of a surprise because news of his [HEYx3] appearance was sent out to fanclub members a few days ago. Some people were speculating that it was for his [Ashita no Joe] film promotion but it’s still quite too early for that. Now the mystery’s solved. It’s almost like how TegoMasu’s tour was announced first before the new mini-album was even in the works.

In the meanwhile, Ryo-chan will be busy with his drama and promotions for Eito’s [Wonderful World]. Keii-chan is working hard for [news every]. Shige the TROUBLE MAN.. Shige will find more bizarre hobbies other than photography and building dark room, bouldering, grinding coffee, learning pottery, making plum wine, preparing pickled plum and sour orange vinegar (pickled plums from his Wakayama friend and oranges courtesy of Keii-chan).

Still waiting for Tego’s [DareKiss] to get on our shore.. I’m very tempted to just click “Add to Cart” actually. *sighs*

It will take some time for us to have T&T and NEWS again. All these waiting business really gnaws on my patience. There are times when I just feel so frustrated, especially when things seem to stop at “pending” status with no clear future in sight.. but I guess I just happen to stumble into a fandom which requires strong loyalty more than anything else, and I have no plans to stop anytime soon. I rant, but like I said earlier, if I can see that the members themselves still have the passion for it, I’ll fight with them. Gambarimasu~! ♥

I should’ve watched [DragonZakura] so much sooner! Finally a drama I can look forward to for the next episode, and a bouncy, not-yet-all-cool YamaPi in all his cute glory! ♥♥

Probably it’s my fault that I watched [Untouchable] and [Bloody Monday 2] at around the same time, but the concept of one elusive bad guy holding the string to play puppets out of other people is kind of getting tiring. [Tokyo Dogs] has similar storyline but at least Shun-Hiro combo kept it entertaining. [Untouchable] reminds me of [Orthros no Inu], which every twist is expected and I can already guess who’s what as the story trod at its slow pace. Needless to say, the eyecandies are what kept me stuck to the screen. I might seem shallow but yeah, anyway.. I hope the upcoming drama with Nagase, Toma and KanaJun won’t be like this. =x

I avoid most of high-school dramas because it tends to end up being so cliche.. but I guess there’s a reason why they keep on churning dramas from the genre year after year. Only the good ones are rare to find, but it’s there. Probably because their always revolving around the theme of friendship and family is what making me drawn to them. =P

On NEWS, KoyaShige (and Uchi!) went to TegoMasu’s tour at Yoyogi, whose concert has just been added new shows due to overwhelming response from fans. YamaPi has safely finished filming [Ashita no Joe] (and had a meal with Ryo-chan~ xP). Ryo-chan will be in a new drama for Summer, [Joker: Yurusarezaru Sousakan], playing the forensics expert who has emotional trauma and tends to go a bit overboard. Another psycho!Ryo, eh? LOL.

I did tell about Pi saying he was composing songs, no? Then apparently Koyama too is trying the same. Eito will have a new single out, [Wonderful World!!], so I guess Ryo-chan will be too busy with his drama and Eito that a single or album for NEWS won’t be too soon. It really looks like every J&A group is releasing new stuff (even SMAP!) except KinKi Kids, NEWS and Tackey&Tsubasa. ._.

OH! Hyesung oppa is having his solo concert in Tokyo today and tomorrow. We tried to trend #findhyesungvoice at 4PM Seoul time but we did not manage to. I hope LiveWorks still appreciate the effort, though. I’m not particularly sad, it just confirmed the fact that most Kpop fans on twitter (and at forums) are largely post-[Brand New].
